WTF?

I just noticed an odd search engine phrase that led to this site. Apparently someone searched for “hungry teacher rumbled or growled or rum” and somehow found their way here. That’s the weirdest one I’ve seen yet. :???:

A Little Update

I’m long overdue for an update, as you can see. Life has been pretty good, but I guess nothing too exciting has really been going on in my life. School is going alright this semester; I just need to try harder. I’m still battling procrastination, but who isn’t? I’m trying to make changes for the better to lessen those effects.

My latest obsession is snowboarding! I went to the snow for the first time about four weeks ago (I know, I’m very, very late) and it was amazing! I went up to Heavenly with some friends and tried snowboarding for the first time, and I absolutely loved it! Of course I fell a lot, but I felt that I got the hang of it pretty quickly; my friends said I did incredible for my first time, and I felt pretty proud at the end of the day. The drive home that day was pretty insane because there was a huge storm that caused low visibility, avalanche warnings, spinouts, chain check stations, etc. It took us about seven hours to drive home, when it should have taken us around three hours. It literally took us three hours to go three miles! I thought it was worth it though; it was a hell of an experience for my first time in the snow. Since then, I’ve gone snowboarding a second time. I hope to go a lot more, but this sport becomes very expensive. I’m also looking to buy my own gear, but that is costly as well. That’s the price you pay for some fun.

Here’s a picture I took at Heavenly that makes for a nice wallpaper. Feel free to use it if you like; the resolution is 1680 x 1050.

Protection

I found this black window spider living under a tub I have in my backyard. Here’s a shot of it protecting its eggs.

Here to Stay

This fly landed on my cactus, and oddly enough, it wasn’t disturbed by my presence. It wasn’t afraid of me and didn’t try to fly away, allowing me to get as close as 1 or 2 centimeters at times! I checked back an hour or so later, and it was still there, but in a different position.
