Back to School

I started school again today.  It was hard waking up at such an early time, but I guess I’ll have to get used to that again.  I’m taking four classes this semester for a total of 14 units, which includes Critical Thinking/Writing Literature, Pre-Calculus, Intro to Health, and Brain, Mind, and Behavior Biopsychology.  What’s nice is that I have Fridays off this semester, so that should be nice.  Overall, I had a good day.  It was nice meeting new people as well as seeing some familiar faces.  I think this should be an enjoyable semester.

I’m a Pro!

To my surprise, I realized today that I have a Pro Flickr account again! I bought a Pro account for a year in 2005 (which is actually pretty cheap), but after it expired, I never bothered to renew it. I signed into Flickr today, and I saw that I now have a Pro account because I use AT&T Yahoo! DSL. Since Yahoo acquired Flickr awhile ago, I now get a Pro account for free as long as I stick with this ISP. I kind of stopped using Flickr after my Pro account expired, but now that I have a Pro account again, I may start to use it more.

Cheaper

I was finally smart enough to buy my textbooks online (the ones I could) this semester instead of at the school bookstore.  I ended up saving about $50.  I didn’t save as much as I thought I would, but it’s still something.  I bought my stuff from Half.com.

Proud Mac user

My current desktop:

Apple released their new iMac, and it looks stunning!  Apple’s design team never ceases to impress me.  iLife ‘08 looks great as well.  I like the new events feature in iPhoto, and with the revamped iMovie, I may start using it more.  The updates in iWork ‘08 are nice too.  I like the changes made to Pages, and now that it’s more word processor oriented, I think it might just become my main word processor application for now (at least until Office 2008 comes out).  It’s a good time to be a Mac user!
